Like Tomoyo, Sakura appears in the original series. She also appears in the first film in 1999, Cardcaptor Sakura: The Movie, traveling to Hong Kong with Sakura, Toyo, Yukito, and Kero. In the film, Tomoyo re-enacts scenes where Sakura captured cards, with Tomoyo videotaping them, and later works with Meilin to set up Sakura and Syaoran with each other.
